The challenge
A wheelchair user needed independent access between two levels, and the ground floor slab could not be excavated for a conventional pit.
Our approach
The screw-driven Yijia QR sits on the finished floor with a 60 mm ramp-level threshold, so a wheelchair rolls straight on with no lip to cross.
The owner of this Changshu home uses a wheelchair, and the ground floor slab sat directly on rock — excavating a conventional pit was quoted at more than the lift itself.
The Yijia QR removes that cost entirely. It stands on the finished floor and needs only a 60 mm ramp-level threshold, so a wheelchair rolls straight on without a lip to cross. Its screw drive is self-locking, which means the platform is mechanically incapable of free-fall — a point that mattered more to this family than any specification on the datasheet.
Controls were set at seated height with oversized buttons. From delivery to handover the job took four days.
